We are seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer specializing in Backend Software Automation to support mission-critical federal programs focused on IT modernization, national security, and law enforcement initiatives.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions across large-scale backend systems. Your work will directly support system reliability, performance, and operational readiness in secure environments.
You will play a key role in building scalable automation frameworks and ensuring quality across complex, distributed applications. Key Responsibilities Design and execute automated test strategies for high-performance, large-scale systems
Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and related tools
Conduct backend, API, and database testing, including complex SQL validation
Evaluate and implement advanced testing tools and methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments
Analyze test results, document defects, and provide root cause analysis with remediation guidance
Review and support government test plans to ensure compliance with technical standards
Support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible

6+ years of experience in backend software testing and automation
