Job description

The main aspect of the role is to process customer orders for ALL Jay Group facilities in the most efficient manner to meet customer demands. Time management, verbal and written communication, accuracy, and attention to detail are crucial to this role. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to make rational and informed decisions based on the information provided.
This role will also lead systems projects within Fulfillment Operations including design, development assistance, user testing, implementation, and creating user training documentation. Acts as a mentor and leader for Wave Planners as well as support all teams in the company to best meet our customers' expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Create and release waves daily through WMS as required as well as configuring and monitoring wave automations.
  • Prepares work for the DC floor in a timely manner on a daily basis.
  • Effectively communicates daily with Site Directors and Client Services teams as required on issues or problems to ensure high customer service levels.
  • Work with other departments to ensure client requirements and expectations are met.
  • Assist with general reconciliation efforts as needed.
  • Assist with general WM cleanup of transaction files, interface files, and others as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining and generating Qlik Reporting as needed.
  • Assist in researching orders that do not flow through the normal process or are not flowing into the WMS system as expected.
  • Assists Operations in design, implementation and testing of warehouse management system enhancements. This may include working with outside vendors.
  • Designs and implements WM configurations
  • Responsible for ensuring that all client services requests have been responded to by EOD.
  • Point of contact between client services and the wave team for requests that are outside of the normal waving expectations. (e.g. special requests for anything related to waving that would require a configuration change to complete)
  • Configures WM as needed by operations and/or wave planners to facilitate client needs and requests.
  • Assist in developing recommended operating procedures for distribution centers by working with DC management and associates, corporate transportation, inventory planning and purchasing, and engineering as it relates to the operational software or hardware. Develop and document WMS procedures. Maintain current documentation.
  • Monitors request/project results on an ongoing basis to ensure the results meet technical specifications, project requirements and established and agreed upon deliverables.
  • Develops and maintains technical and project documentation, according to established SOPs.
  • Reports status of all open projects to WMS Manager/Senior Site Director as assigned.
  • Develops and/or monitors quality assurance test plans, as required.
  • Complies with corporate SOP's.
  • Independently set professional goals and objectives that require minimum oversight.
  • Performs other job-related duties as necessary and/or assigned.
