Job description

About the Role

We are seeking the first dedicated owner for OUTFRONT's internal AI platform. As a senior engineering owner, you will take full ownership of the architecture, write production code, set the direction for our AI platform, and partner closely with our CTO and VP of AI to shape the future of the company’s AI-native era.

What You’ll Work On
  • OUTGPT – Own and move our internal AI platform built on the Vercel AI SDK and AWS Bedrock into full production, lay out the roadmap, expand model and agent capabilities, integrate internal data sources, and make it the default surface for the 75‑person tech organization.
  • Agency Connect MCP – Evolve the Model Context Protocol server that exposes OUTFRONT inventory, holds, and campaign tools to AI buyer agents, scaling it with partner adoption.
  • Agent Infrastructure – Design and build the shared platform for internal automation teams, covering model routing, evaluation, guardrails, observability, secrets handling, and cost controls.
  • AWS Bedrock & AgentCore – Be the deepest voice on the AWS AI stack, evaluating, integrating, and operationalizing new capabilities as they ship.
  • Architectural Authority – Own technical decisions across the AI surface area, from OUTGPT integration with Salesforce and Snowflake to how Agency Connect MCP scales with partner adoption.
  • Mentorship – Set the engineering bar for the AI & Automation pod, review designs, elevate the team, and raise their ceiling.
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years building production backend or full‑stack systems, with at least 2 years on LLM-backed systems that real users depend on.
  • Deep AWS experience, especially Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, App Runner, RDS, IAM, and networking for AI workloads.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript/Node and/or Python; our platform is TypeScript‑forward (Vercel AI SDK, Next.js) with Python used in agent infrastructure.
  • Hands‑on experience with agent frameworks and protocols (MCP, A2A, or equivalent) or a clear track record of evaluating and adopting emerging frameworks quickly.
  • Strong API design instincts; you should understand the difference between shipping a feature and shipping a capability.
  • Excellent communication and judgment; you can turn fuzzy problems into working systems for non‑technical partners.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in advertising technology, particularly programmatic, OOH, or DOOH.
  • Familiarity with M365 / Power Platform, as our automation pod operates there.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Sigma, or modern analytics stacks.
  • Open source contributions to MCP, agent frameworks, or related ecosystems.
Reporting and Team

Reports to the VP of AI. Partners closely with the CTO, a Senior Solutions Engineer, a Solutions Engineer focused on internal business automation, and an intern.

Compensation

For New York, New Jersey, and California, the salary range is $175,000–$200,000 per year. Salary is determined during the interview process based on experience, skills, and market benchmarks.
