Job description

Step into a dynamic educational environment supporting students and helping them thrive academically and linguistically. This contract opportunity involves teaching at the intermediate grade levels, with a focus on either 5th grade Math/Science (two positions), 5th grade Social Studies/ELA, or 6th grade Math/Science. Additionally, there is a specialized onsite role for a K-2 English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, focusing on PREK-grade learners.

Assignments run from August 17, 2024, through May 27, 2027, and offer full-time hours within a collaborative school setting. Teachers will work onsite only, providing core subject area instruction or targeted English language development to support students’ academic growth and language acquisition.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License, with appropriate endorsement(s) for the assignment
  • Demonstrated experience with curriculum planning, instructional delivery, and assessment
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with dual language programming and strategies for multilingual learners is a plus
