The Pricing Insights Analyst is responsible for generating actionable pricing insights that improve revenue, margin, and profitable growth across all business units. This position transforms internal and external data into strategic recommendations by analyzing pricing performance, customer profitability, competitive activity, market trends and promotional effectiveness. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to support pricing decisions and Revenue Growth Management initiatives.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing and commercial databases.
  • Develop and update SharePoint site to manage reporting within multiple locations.
  • Generate dashboards and executive reporting.
  • Create timely ad-hoc reports on an as needed basis.
  • Create Power Bi reports to understand trends in various operating variables.
  • Analyze pricing performance, price realization, price waterfalls, and margin trends.
  • Partner with sales, Marketing and Finance teams to identify pricing revenue growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other areas to build and develop P & L’s for bids and RFP’s.
  • Collaborate with management to provide reporting and analysis.
  • Perform statistical analysis of all clients, sales channels, products and /or families records while also ensuring quality in indexing.
  • Transform statistical data in various formats into everyday Power BI reporting structures.
  • Develop pricing insights that support annual pricing strategy.
  • Identify pricing gaps and margin leakage opportunities.
  • Analyze profitability of business units, customers and portfolios.
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and ROI.
  • Recommend pricing decisions based on elasticities, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
  • Build and maintain executive presentations, summarizing pricing opportunities and risks.
  • Support pricing reviews with key customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy and Revenue Growth Management principles.
  • Experience performing price elasticity and profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of customer profitability modeling.
  • Experience using syndicated market data (Nielson, Cercana, etc.)
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate insights to executive leadership.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional business decisions.
  • Knowledge of pricing governance processes and SOP generation.
  • Experience developing pricing KPI’s and executive dashboards.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Ag Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.


Experience

2+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, sales analytics or business intelligence. Food Industry experience preferred.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the general public.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Power BI creation; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
