Spectra Tech is seeking an Environmental Science Specialist for Paducah, KY.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a clearance (if requested)
  • BA/BS degree in a closely related field and 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 1 - 4 years
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain a basic understanding of federal and state policies and regulations, project policies and requirements.
  • Perform extended periods of sitting or standing each day.
  • Maintain ability to wear respirator and other protective equipment to enter hazardous areas.

Overview
Under direct supervision, the candidate shall perform Environmental Science job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities and specific work assignments may include duties or activities in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned.
โ€ข Provide technical and/or functional support to the Environmental Science team.
โ€ข Support Environmental Science functional areas such as sampling, data capture, data analysis / decision support, documentation, report preparation, or related areas.
โ€ข Perform tasks according to detailed instructions and established procedures.
โ€ข Assist other team members in conducting scientific studies, investigations and analyses.
โ€ข Assist with overseeing the use of sampling and monitoring procedures and reviewing codes, standards, regulations and guidelines.
โ€ข Perform duties of general/routine complexity in nature.
โ€ข Maintain knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner.
