Sample Supports provides person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), helping people build independence, meaningful relationships, and fulfilling lives within their communities. Sample Supports is seeking motivated undergraduate students interested in gaining hands-on experience in residential services, case coordination, quality assurance, and community-based supports.

This internship offers meaningful exposure to residential service delivery while working alongside experienced professionals in a person-centered organization. Whether you're pursuing social work, psychology, healthcare administration, or another helping profession, you'll develop practical skills that prepare you for a career in human services.

What You'll Learn

  • Track training requirements, incident reports, and compliance materials.
  • Communicate professionally with providers, families, guardians, and team members.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
  • Learn residential licensing requirements and agency standards.
  • Observe and report health, safety, or compliance concerns.
  • Build professional relationships with clients, providers, and community partners.
  • Gain limited exposure to direct support services to better understand residential programming.
  • Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional standards.
