Job description

  • DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
    • The Education Specialist II functions as consultant, resource person, and teacher to all levels of personnel in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of Berkshire Health Systems. Responsibilities include assessing needs, establishing objectives, developing and implementing programs, evaluating outcomes, and maintaining current professional knowledge. The primary responsibility is for the development of staff within BHS and especially in the educator's assigned department.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 3 years professional experience in health care required. Prior relevant experience within assigned preferred.
    • Education and Training:
      • Bachelor's degree in Education, Nursing or Human Resources or equivalent required.
      • Master's preferred.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • CPR Instructor status preferred
    • Other Requirements:
      • Knowledge of adult education methods and techniques
      • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
      • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
      • Ability to teach all age groups
