Job Description:
DCG's Edge AI team is looking for a systems and solutions engineer to onboard, measure, analyze, and optimize the performance, quality, and efficiency of AI and non-AI workloads on Intel DCG platforms, including CPU (Xeon), GPU, and NPU. Workloads include commercial ISV solutions and synthetic benchmarks, optimized for edge, on-prem, and cloud deployments.
Besides strong analytical skills, key requirements include hands-on experience with full-stack systems, including hardware setup and bring-up, performance tools, programming/scripting, virtualization/container technologies, OS, networking, and hardware architecture.
Responsibilities include
  • Performance Evaluation: Running benchmarks to measure latency, throughput, and memory usage.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Identifying bottlenecks and creating detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations for performance data.
  • Automation: Building automated benchmarking pipelines to ensure reproducible results.
  • Collaboration: Working with internal and external stakeholders to optimize systems based on benchmark outcomes.

Candidate should be driven, a self-starter, with a sense of ownership and strong communication skills to translate technical details into business impact.
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience. OR
  • Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Depending on the degree obtained you will need the listed years of experience in all of the below areas:
    • Hardware bring-up (OS and middleware install, network setup, BIOS configuration)
    • scripting (Python, shell scripting)
    • performance tools (e.g. Linux perf)
    • container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
    • OS (primarily Linux)
    • Ethernet and networking

Preferred qualifications:
  • AI/ML (vision AI, Gen-AI, VLM, VLA) understanding with evaluation experience.
  • experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, OpenVINO,vLLM, TensorFlow) and AI benchmarking.
