Job description

Careers - Application Developer

HTRI seeks an individual to develop, maintain, and enhance HTRI engineering software, including the user interfaces, via a number of different technologies. This position is located at our Navasota, Texas headquarters.

Principal responsibilities

  • Write web applications to interface with new or existing databases using C#, Python, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Develop front-end/back-end applications interfacing Web APIs
  • Work collaboratively with team members to resolve bugs in existing codebases
  • Configure local development environments and deploy changes to production
  • Document software implementation details using diagrams and coding logic flowcharts
  • Test bug fixes and requirement implementations
  • Gain understanding of product architectures and constituent technologies

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or bachelor's degree with professional web development experience
  • Implementation experience in at least two of the following: C/C++, C#, Python, Ruby, JavaScript
  • Experience with SQL and general database knowledge
  • Familiarity with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure)
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar version control systems

Preferred but not essential

  • MS in Computer Science
  • IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS experience
  • Understanding of back-end database design
  • Understanding of object-relational mapping abstractions

Individual must possess authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
