Bureau Veritas is looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our environmental laboratory in Montreal or Ste-Foy, QC.

Please note that this is a contract position until Mid-December. There is a possibility of extension (depending on business needs and your performance).

Your main responsibilities are: 

  • To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation;

  • Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;

  • Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;

  • Understand and troubleshoot analyses;

  • Provide input to corrective action procedures;

  • Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained;

  • Use summary reports to plan and organize work;

  • Any other related tasks.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a bachelor in chemistry, microbiology or biology;
  • Have experience in laboratory (strong asset);
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills;
  • Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook.


Work conditions:

  • Work schedule: day AND evening, including weekend;

  • You need to be available for overtime during the peak season (1-2h/day) from May to December including a 6th day during the week;

  • Please note that flexibility for overtime is required to meet business needs. It's important to note that overtime is not optional in this role. You will be expected to work the additional hours as directed by your supervisor, even if the need arises unexpectedly on a given day;

  • Status: Full time, 37.5h/week;

  • Ability to work your feet for long hours.
