We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our manufacturing facility in Batesville, MS! In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical and automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motors, motor control centers, power distribution equipment, and control circuits. You will also assist with control panel installation, wiring, and electrical infrastructure projects. You will report to the Electrical Maintenance Foreman through the Maintenance Manager, and complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

The starting pay is $20.88 to $24.57 an hour depending on experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and direct the work of one or two maintenance helpers, providing instruction, guidance, and oversight for 50% or more of assigned work activities.
  • Operate and maintain shop equipment, including welders, drill presses, lathes, milling machines, and various hand and power tools.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives using Allen-Bradley and Siemens software. Perform minor program modifications when required and approved by management.
  • Participate in the implementation, maintenance, and periodic review of OSHA Arc Flash safety programs to ensure compliance and workplace safety.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical raceways, wiring systems, and associated equipment, including transformers, panelboards, disconnects, circuit breakers, motors, drives, and control stations. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, control, instrumentation, and power distribution systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, diagnosing and correcting issues to reduce downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.
  • Maintain inventory levels of electrical components, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

What We Need From You:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum five (5) years of industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, motors, motor controls, PLCs, AC/DC drives, and industrial troubleshooting practices. Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, safety procedures, and equipment specifications.
  • Proficient in preventive maintenance, root cause analysis, and diagnosing electrical and mechanical equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, interpret technical instructions, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and documentation skills, including the ability to complete maintenance records and reports.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and working with a variety of electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Ability to work safely in an industrial environment, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds, while working around moving equipment, electrical systems, elevated work areas, and varying environmental conditions.
