As a Water-Wastewater Treatment Operator, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping water or wastewater treatment facilities operating safely and efficiently. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll monitor equipment, perform inspections, collect samples, complete routine maintenance, and respond to operational needs to keep essential systems running reliably. Licensed operators are strongly encouraged to apply.
We are currently hiring Operators in the Belle Chasse, LA area. The starting hourly pay is based on experience and can be negotiated with enough industry experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate and monitor pumps, valves, motors, disinfection systems, and other treatment equipment to help ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.
- Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing, and complete basic laboratory analyses to support water quality and regulatory compliance.
- Record and maintain accurate operational data, including flow rates, chemical usage, equipment performance, and daily treatment activities.
- Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment to improve system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Respond promptly to operational issues and emergency call-outs to help restore equipment and maintain uninterrupted service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment by following established housekeeping and operational standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures to help protect employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma or GED required. Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related study is preferred.
- Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred for some locations).
- Valid state water or wastewater license/certification is highly preferred, or need to be willing to obtain one quickly upon hire.
- Previous water or wastewater experience is highly preferred.
- Experience and knowledge with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is preferred.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
