Job description

You Are:

As a Test Engineer with Accenture Federal Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of software applications delivered to missionfocused federal clients. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies-both automated and manual-to validate functionality, uncover defects, and strengthen system resilience.

The Work:

In this role, you will build and maintain automated test scripts, perform hands-on manual testing, and document results with precision. You will collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and product teams to troubleshoot issues, validate database operations, and refine testing practices across the project lifecycle. Your ability to work with automation tools, scripting languages, and database technologies will be instrumental as you navigate complex testing environments.

Success in this position requires a strong foundation in creating and optimizing automation frameworks, writing efficient and reusable test scripts, and managing large and intricate datasets. Familiarity with industry-standard automation tools, version control systems, and defect tracking platforms will help streamline testing workflows and increase overall productivity. A blended background in manual testing, automated testing, and database query optimization will enable you to deliver high-quality, actionable insights that elevate product reliability and support project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Perform manual testing to identify defects and validate new functionality
  • Conduct database testing to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency
  • Partner with development teams to troubleshoot issues and support timely resolution
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases and test plans
  • Apply scripting skills to eliminate repetitive testing tasks through automation
  • Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to stakeholders
  • Continuously improving testing processes, methodologies, and automation coverage

Here's What You Need:

  • Experience with modern automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash) for test automation and data validation
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
