Job description

As a mid to senior-level technology professional, the referenced Security Engineer will assist with the completion of technology organization programs, projects and / or objectives as a part of larger effort while learning their assigned roles, attaining new skills, and working with direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
Participate in systems operations or engineering task completion in support of a program, project or objective under direct guidance.
Develop understanding of technology and in specific cyber security based engineering approaches and methods.
Show continued competency in at least one core systems security operations or engineering competency.
Report status updates and any issues on a regular basis.
Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
Ensure all work products meets /exceeds standards
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Cyber Security concept such as, secure configuration management, industry compliance benchmarks, attacks & attack types, vulnerabilities, mitigation techniques.
Knowledge of operating systems like Amazon Linux, Linux, Windows, and macOS.
Key understanding of cloud providers such as AWS, AZURE.
Strong Working knowledge of Azure Security, Azure Cloud Services, configuration, monitoring, and defining cloud security controls within an Azure environment.
Experience with compliance monitoring related toolsets such as Tripwire, and/or Uptcys/Osquery.
Experience with creating, monitoring, and the implementation of security standards & benchmarks.
Knowledge of containers/containerized environment & services.
Knowledge of SIEM toolsets like Splunk
Strong knowledge of network protocols as well as network connectivity troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of SQL & Regex capabilities in relation to query/policy based creation
Working knowledge of scripting in Unix/Windows environment: Bash, Python, VBScript, powershell etc.
Knowledge of SDLC, full stack deployment (backend/frontend), github, jenkins etc.
Security based AWS/Azure certifications are a plus, but not a requirement.
