Job Title IT Lab Technician, Part-Time (Pooled) Job Description GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: The IT Lab Technician oversees computer laboratories across multiple campuses, ensuring a functional and supportive environment for students completing IT-related lab work. This part-time, grant-funded position supports student success in the School of Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, and IT by providing technical assistance and maintaining lab operations. The role involves working up to 19 hours per week during the fall (August-December) and spring (January-May) semesters and reports to the Chair of the School of Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, and IT at the Harrison County Campus.
Job Duties 1. Monitor and maintain computer lab equipment, ensuring hardware and software functionality.
2. Support students in information system technology labs at assigned campuses.
2. Assist students with troubleshooting issues with programming, software, or networking tasks.
3. Ensure a safe, organized, and accessible lab environment.
4. Perform basic technical support, such as resolving software errors or network connectivity issues.
5. Document lab usage and report issues to the Chair.
