Network Administrator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise network environment across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong experience in network administration, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity best practices, and infrastructure operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network infrastructure while supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives and collaborating with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and Service Desk teams.
Key Responsibilities
Network Administration & Operations
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity.
  • Administer and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, VPNs, and firewall policies.
  • Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, and hybrid cloud networking environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve network performance, connectivity, routing, latency, and application access issues.
  • Perform network upgrades, hardware refreshes, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Maintain network diagrams, IP address documentation, device inventories, and configuration standards.
  • Participate in change management by documenting, reviewing, and implementing network changes.
Cloud Networking & SD-WAN
  • Support SD-WAN environments, including routing, policy management, failover, and performance optimization.
  • Assist with networking across Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud environments.
  • Configure and support virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, network security groups, VPN gateways, cloud firewalls, and private connectivity solutions.
  • Collaborate with Cloud and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure connectivity between on-premises environments and cloud platforms.
Network Security
  • Implement secure network configurations aligned with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Manage firewall policies, network segmentation, VPN access, and Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, network hardening, patch management, and security compliance activities.
  • Partner with Security teams to investigate network alerts, suspicious activity, and access-related incidents.
  • Ensure network devices are securely configured, backed up, monitored, and regularly updated.
Automation & Documentation
  • Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform or similar automation tools.
  • Assist with scripting and automation to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
  • Document incidents, root cause analyses, remediation activities, and configuration changes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • DNS, DHCP, IPAM
    • Routing and Switching
    • VLANs
    • Firewalls
    • VPNs
    • Wireless networking
    • SD-WAN
    • Network monitoring tools
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, firewall management, and secure configurations.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Experience in regulated environments such as Healthcare, Financial Services, HIPAA, PCI, or SOC 2.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies:

  • Experience with Azure networking services, including:
