Job description

Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Montreal, QC
Note: Prior experience in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom is non-negotiable.

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with a strong background in BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions while contributing to enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support cloud solutions across BFSI, Public Sector, and Telecom environments.
  • Support cloud modernization initiatives for core banking, payments, citizen services, OSS/BSS platforms, billing systems, charging platforms, and customer-facing applications.
  • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting telecom network operations, 5G platforms, edge computing environments, and enterprise digital services.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams supporting banking platforms, government systems, and telecom operations.
  • Support migration of legacy applications and infrastructure to cloud-native architectures.
  • Implement cloud security, governance, compliance, and operational controls.
  • Develop automation, monitoring, disaster recovery, and infrastructure management solutions.
  • Support enterprise transformation, modernization, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application performance issues.
  • Ensure cloud environments meet regulatory, privacy, and security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Cloud Engineer within BFSI, Public Sector, or Telecom environments is required.
  • Experience supporting cloud platforms for banking systems, government applications, OSS/BSS, billing, charging, network operations, or telecom customer platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud transformation, migration, and modernization initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Understanding of governance, compliance, regulatory, and security requirements.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale and mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud operations.
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, and cloud architecture principles.
  • Cloud certification preferred.
