Job Description:

Qualification:

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Monitoring Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and cloud observability practices. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring solutions that ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of our cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement monitoring strategies using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide visibility into system health and performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and Application teams to define KPIs and SLAs.
  • Analyze telemetry data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
  • Automate monitoring configurations and alerting rules using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Integrate monitoring tools with incident management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, PagerDuty).
  • Provide recommendations for performance optimization and capacity planning.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and post-incident reviews using monitoring data.
  • Stay current with Azure updates and best practices in cloud observability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Microservices, and Distributed Systems.
  • Experience with Kusto Query Language (KQL) for querying telemetry data.
  • Familiarity with Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Terraform, or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and ITIL processes.
  • Experience integrating monitoring with tools like Grafana, Power BI, or Prometheus is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and incident workflows.
