Job description

Join our dynamic Information Technology team and play a key role in enhancing, integrating, and supporting the Firm’s business applications and thirdparty systems. The successful candidate will take ownership of evolving our platforms to meet business needs, while also supporting and troubleshooting daytoday operational issues. Hodgson Russ LLP, a regional law firm with 230+ attorneys in 10 offices, is seeking an Applications & Integration Engineer to join our busy Information Technology department resident in our Buffalo or Rochester office. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to install, configure, and support commercial software solutions, primarily within the legal industry.
  • Develop, support, and maintain custom ASP.NET web applications, C# console applications.
  • Administer and support Firm Intranet using Microsoft SharePoint Online.
  • Design and maintain data integrations using Boomi and Intapp Integration Builder for data exchange between thirdparty systems and custom Firm platforms.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders defining and creating workflow automation using Intapp Open.
  • Develop and maintain reports using SSRS and Power BI to support business operations and data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement alerting and monitoring to support workflows, track critical business data, and enhance operational awareness.
  • Embrace ongoing change as the Firm transitions to SaaS platforms, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and develop skills across new technologies.
  • Candidates must have experience with integration and workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience with Boomi, Intapp Integration Builder, and Intapp Open is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus but not required.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to meet deadlines and focus on details. You will interface frequently and extensively with members of the user community at all levels of the organization as well as with IT team colleagues. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information management systems, with three years’ experience in applications development or a closely related role.

At this time, the good faith estimate of the annual salary range for this position, if the successful applicant is based in Buffalo or Rochester is $69,740 to $85,555. Where a successful applicant is slotted within this range will vary based on legitimate criteria, such as experience and skill level.
