Job description

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer, specializing in DevSecOps Engineering. This engineering role is a hands-on opportunity to be responsible for the delivery of features enabling IaC functionality for other engineers to consume, driving solutions and frameworks to advance IaC adoption and standards across all of Wells Fargo Technology. The ideal candidate has a strong and broad technical background in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining systems automation solutions using hybrid-cloud tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, VM Ware Automation and/or other container/workload orchestration solutions).


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
  • Design, code, test, deploy, debug, and document for projects and programs
  • Perform testing of application and infrastructure requirements
  • Drive solutions to reduce recovery time and recovery point capabilities
  • Integrate to Hybrid cloud platforms including private cloud and public cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platforms)
  • Collaborate and influence other software engineers on modern development practices and quality programming code
  • Play an essential role as an individual contributor in driving the completion of software engineering features, stories, and tasks pertaining to Infrastructure Automation and DevSecOps
  • Create meaningful documentation to assist in delivering high-value systems and applications for the entire software development practice across the globe
  • Experience developing with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) in a formal and enterprise software development lifecycle environment


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience in DevSecOps, Infrastructure Automation and Cloud Computing technologies
  • Experience managing configuration, build and deployments for enterprise software solutions
  • Development experience with Go Lang or Python, other scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end systems automation in hybrid-cloud ecosystems, including design, development, deployment, and operational support using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, VMware Automation, and other orchestration technologies.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience operating and administrating Kubernetes (or other container orchestration) environments at enterprise scale
  • Experience working with ServiceNow
  • Experience using GitHub Actions
  • Experience using Harness CI or Harness CD
  • In-Depth knowledge of Windows Server and Linux orchestration and automation
  • Multi-tasking experience - managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experienced in working in Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills-written and spoken
  • Understanding of network fundamentals, APIs, and web protocols
  • Ability to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution to complex issues
  • High degree of professionalism, self-motivation and problem-solving attitude.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $224,000.00
