Job Summary:
Evolutyz Corp is seeking an experienced Azure Application Modernization Architect to lead enterprise application modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will assess legacy applications, define modernization strategies, and create cloud-native target architectures leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
Responsibilities:
• Assess existing applications and define modernization roadmaps.
• Recommend target-state cloud-native architectures.
• Develop modernization frameworks, patterns, and best practices.
• Drive adoption of Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering teams on modernization and cloud-native development.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 12 years of IT experience with 6 years in Azure application modernization and architecture.
• Strong experience assessing legacy applications including .NET, Java, Oracle, SQL Server, and enterprise applications.
• Expertise in modernization strategies: Re-host, Re-platform, Refactor, Replace, and Retire.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices, APIs, Containers, Serverless, and Cloud-Native Architectures.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL Managed Instance, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Data Factory, and Data Migration Services.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Familiarity with Azure Migrate, App Service Migration Assistant, CAST Highlight, and modernization assessment tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and architecture documentation skills.
