Summary:

We're looking for an Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer to play a critical role in driving DevOps excellence across our organization. The role will entail design, build and operational aspects of our Azure cloud infrastructure supporting multiple teams. This position will work with architecture team to deploy Cloud based solutions using PAAS, IAAS, etc. Azure resources through IAC leveraging Terraform.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Azure Cloud and Terraform. You will work closely with the engineering and technical support teams to proactively improve our offerings to our clients from a scalability, reliability, security and speed to market perspective.

Responsibilities:

  • Have proven experience with develop, implement and deploying applications to Azure cloud.

  • Deploy applications that leverage various Azure services such as: AppGateway | APIM | Container Apps | Azure SQL Database |Redis

  • Deploy using various network topologies: VNET / NSG / Private DNS| Private Endpoints| Express Route

  • Monitor applications deployed in Azure using services such as: Log Analytics | Application Insights | Metrics

  • Develop provisioning of Azure resources with IAC tools such as Terraform

  • Collaborate with engineering/development squads to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ensure Azure based Applications deployment is aligned and working to best practices around scalability, security, and reliability.

  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes related to Azure services and DevOps

  • Enable engineering teams with standardization and knowledge sharing of DevOps resources. Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in Azure services and DevOps practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • Substantial experience in DevOps, with ideally at least 4 years focusing on Azure DevOps as an engineer, technical lead, or other related technical cloud-focused role.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure with knowledge of cloud-native services (Azure DNS, Application Gateway, Azure SQL Server, App Services, Blob Storage, Load Balancer, WAF) and best-practices for working with technology.

  • An understanding of technologies that underpin a DevOps approach to cloud transformation and management, including but not exclusive to, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Containerization and Orchestration, CI/CD.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform etc.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell scripting(Bash), Python etc.

  • Deep knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Excellent understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, virtual networks, network security and networking models).

  • Understanding of observability and site-reliability principles (SLO's, SLI's) and working with engineering teams to improve the SLA's of deployed applications and platform.

  • Good understanding of SQL and working with relational databases.

  • Experience working in a production environment to support, operate and maintain applications.

  • Experience working with logging tools (e.g. Log Analytics, Dynatrace) and monitoring (e.g. Azure Monitor) and application performance management tools (Dynatrace).

  • Deep understanding of the OSI models

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and guide engineering teams as a leader and mentor.

  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex DevOps projects.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to handle stress in a calm and professional manner

  • Strong presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders

  • Relevant certifications in Azure such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Architect, or similar.

  • Ability to work on-site as needed at either location (Conshohocken, PA | Carrollton, TX)

Desirable:

  • Some knowledge of common programming languages (Java, JavaScript).

  • An understanding of data engineering infrastructure, data processing and presentation.

  • Experience of Cyber Security Essentials or similar certification.

  • Experience in vulnerability management (e.g. Checkmarx etc.).

  • Experience of single sign-on products (e.g. SAP Gigya/CDC)
