Job Title DevOps Engineer

Location Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Duration 6 months C2H

Job Description

Must be local to Pittsburgh On Site 1-2 times per week. Possibly more at the beginning.

Responsibilities

Maintain CI/CD pipelines and processes for deploying and operating web applications in Azure

Define and lead the adoption of DevOps practices in the team.

Manage the application infrastructure in Azure and Kubernetes

Contribute to the success of a high-functioning agile development team.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' experience in a DevOps engineering, software development or similar roles.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experienced creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, or Jenkins

Experienced using infrastructure management languages such as Ansible, Terraform, or Bicep/ARM templates

Experienced configuring, deploying, and operating microservice-based cloud applications using Kubernetes in Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Experience working in an agile environment and understanding of agile methodologies.

Experience with agile project tracking tools such as JIRA.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Preferred Qualifications

Hold relevant cloud certifications in Azure or AWS

Some experience with software development in Python, Java, or another major programming language

*Onsite at least 5 days per month, likely more at the beginning
