Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Microbial Solutions site in Charleston, SC. This is an on-site position Mon-Fri.

The Senior Software Engineer serves as a technical lead role and is responsible for developing the design and architecture of the interaction between various subsystems and applications. This position is a combination ofadvisory and hands-on involvement on unique custom software development projects for both internal and commercial projects. The senior software engineer will work in conjunction with our System Integration and Software Development teams, responsible to build, improve key features that are integral to our customers,enhance architecture, design, scalability and performance of our existing and new platforms. Extensive knowledgeof .NET, C#, and React.js, PostgreSQL database is critical for the success of the senior software engineer.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance the internal and commercial software that controls and automates laboratory devices.
•Conduct and participate in design, code, and test reviews
•Participate in all phases of existing/new software development, including system requirement specification,design, implementation, software integration and testing.
•Prepare appropriate documentation as required by internal product development processes and regulatory agencies (FDA and ISO regulations)

Qualifications

Education:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Engineering skillset and work experience in SoftwareEngineering
Experience:
•5 years of extensive programming experience, including .NET/ASP.NET, C#, Python and GIT experience is required.
•Understanding of how to translate complex systems into sub-components and optimizing the design of both.
•Experience in a regulated software development environment is desirable.
•Experience with cloud programming like Azure/AWS is desirable.
•Knowledge of continuous integration system (Azure DevOps) to automate application builds, testing, anddeployments to web servers, is optional
Skills and Abilities:
•Excellent critical systems integration thinking, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work on multiple projectsin a fast-paced, changing environment
•Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others and act
•Possess a strong communication skill, including written, verbal and presentation in English
•Knowledge in open-source software engineering

The pay range for this position is $128,000-$133,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based onfactors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
