Systems Administrator

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team and play a key role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and scalable technology environment. This position is responsible for administering core infrastructure, cloud platforms, endpoint management, identity services, and cybersecurity solutions that support daily business operations.

As the senior technical resource on the IT team, the Systems Administrator will help ensure business continuity, optimize system performance, strengthen security, and support strategic technology initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, virtualization platforms, and related infrastructure.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, endpoint configuration, device compliance, patch management, and identity administration.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, backup, and disaster recovery readiness of business-critical systems and cloud platforms.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, endpoint protection, access management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Provide advanced Tier 3 technical support, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate with vendors and managed service providers to resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and systems administration best practices.
  • Lead infrastructure modernization projects, cloud initiatives, endpoint management improvements, and automation efforts.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve security, scalability, operational efficiency, and the overall user experience.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of systems administration experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience supporting:
    • Microsoft 365
    • Azure/Entra ID
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
  • Experience administering enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies.
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives and best practices.
