Job Summary:
Albany International Corp. is a leading developer and manufacturer specializing in engineered components and advanced materials processing. They are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to contribute to the development and support of the enterprise analytics ecosystem, focusing on Microsoft technologies and SAP data integration.
Responsibilities:
• Support and enhance existing Microsoft BI solutions across SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS, ensuring performance, reliability, and data accuracy
• Contribute to the migration of legacy analytics assets to Microsoft Fabric, including data models, data pipelines, and reporting solutions
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and semantic layers that transform enterprise data (e.g., SAP) into analytics-ready structures
• Build and support data ingestion and transformation pipelines within the Microsoft ecosystem
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to enable business insights and self-service analytics
• Assist in integrating Microsoft AI capabilities (e.g., Microsoft Fabric AI features, Azure AI services, and Foundry) into analytics workflows to enhance insights and automation
• Apply established standards and best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and development lifecycle management
• Collaborate with team members, architects, and stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions aligned with business requirements

Qualifications:
Required:
• Understanding of business processes and KPIs in a manufacturing or enterprise environment
• 5+ years of experience developing analytics and reporting solutions in an enterprise Microsoft data environment
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft BI technologies (SSAS, SSRS, or similar), supporting enterprise-scale reporting solutions
• Experience working with ERP solutions, specifically SAP S/4HANA data as a source for analytics and reporting solutions
• Exposure to modern Microsoft analytics tooling such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Power BI within implementation or support roles
• Working knowledge of data modeling concepts including dimensional modeling, basic semantic layer design, and ETL/ELT processes
• Familiarity with data pipeline development, orchestration concepts, and performance optimization in data workflows
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices in enterprise environments
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to delivery of larger analytics programs
• US citizen or permanent resident
Preferred:
• Experience integrating SAP CDS views, ABAP-managed CDS, and OData with modern data lake architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and FinOps for cloud analytics cost
