Responsibilities
Job Description:
Peraton is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. This position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the client's IT systems and services to ensure they operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with mission needs. This position will focus on cloud computing.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the engineering and provision of physical/ virtual platforms and operating systems, server build deployments, server virtualization, virtualization / hypervisor hyperconverged platforms with the intent to reduce time required to deploy on server (physical, virtual, and cloud based).
  • Deploy, operate and maintain cloud computing (applications and services) within the service lane portion.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain approved infrastructure devices, technologies and products in compliance with server O&M procedures and policies including building, maintaining and sustaining physical, virtual and cloud-based server services.
  • Receive operational responsibility of engineered Hosted Server Compute (HSC) solutions as part of system/service life cycle to include, but not limited to, virtual infrastructure, server builds, transition documents, physical and virtual servers, cloud, and related solutions.
  • Integrate, operate and maintain Cloud service areas
  • Integrate, operate and maintain Server service area in accordance with clouds services.
  • Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues/ incidents.
  • Provide and maintain related documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, System Plans/ Reports, etc.).

**Position is Contingent on Contract Award**
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. Note: 4 years of significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education degree.
  • Current DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II: CISSP or Security + Certification.
  • Certification: CompTIA Security+.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.
  • Other DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II AND MCSA relevant to the candidate's work area examples are: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification, VMware Certified Associate (VCA); AWS Sys Ops Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate; Nutanix Certified Professional OR Microsoft Endpoint Manager or previous SCCM certifications.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
