Azenta Life Sciences is a global leader in the life sciences space. We are a market leader in automated bio sample management solutions and genomic services across areas such as drug development, clinical and advanced cell therapies for the industry's top pharmaceutical, biotech, academic and healthcare institutions globally. Our Springfield, MO facility performs manufacturing operations for biological storage units.

The Welder performs a wide variety of welding operations in the creation and development of items in assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. They determine and/or follow methods and sequence of operations in such actions and make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensures that all welds meet quality assurance standards

  • Determines appropriate welds per specifications

  • Efficiently and effectively manages time and resources.

  • Various other duties as necessary

What You Will Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Welding School Degree/Certificate highly preferred

  • Previous TIG Welding Experience

Position Requirements:

  • The ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Above average math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately

  • Knowledge of basic shop tools

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Critical attention to detail
