Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be comfortable managing the majority of these drips: Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin. - Must be able to interpret telemetry strips.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: - Nurse:patient ratios: PCU 1:4; MedSurg Tele 1:5-6. - Geriatric and ortho patients; strong cath lab program with post-procedural patients, groin site care in stepdown, post-MI, post-cardiac cath, and CABG post-op day 3-4. - Each unit has a charge nurse who does not take assignments. - Nurse aides are utilized in all settings. - CPAP or BiPAP at night in MedSurg; BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high flow in PCU. - Stepdown has monitors on the unit; monitor techs monitor PCU and MedSurg Tele.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. - Standby may be used for an entire 12 hour shift when staffing is excessive, with the possibility of being called in at any point during that shift. - Schedule is made by the float pool scheduler and published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time. - Unit assignment is sent by text message 2 hours prior to shift start; campuses are about 20-25 minutes apart.

Floating Requirements: - First to float across both campuses to ICU, MedSurg Tele, PCU, and inpatient ED holding.

Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
