Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: REMOTE
Role Overview
The Enterprise Automation Team is seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design and support enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. This role will partner with Cloud, Application, Network, and Security teams to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available solutions across both Azure and on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure networking, CI/CD automation, hybrid cloud environments, on-premises infrastructure, and Windows Server administration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
  • Build, configure, and support Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments for containerized applications.
  • Architect and maintain Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, and Application Gateway.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines from scratch using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Support hybrid cloud architectures integrating Azure services with on-premises datacenters.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy.
  • Monitor system health, performance, security, and capacity planning across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with application teams to optimize container platforms and cloud-native solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues across multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience.
  • Experience deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production environments.
  • A strong understanding of Azure networking concepts and services.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity and integration between Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
  • Strong administration experience with Windows Server platforms.
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices and tools.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Policy, and GitHub Enterprise.
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, firewalls, and load balancing technologies.
  • Knowledge of RPA platforms such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and IBM PAMOE is helpful.
