Job description

Build the real-time, globally distributed platform that controls billing, budgeting, payments, and promotions for Amazon Advertising - processing multi-million transactions worth 100x in dollar value daily with millisecond SLAs, directly impacting the experience of advertisers worldwide. Your work powers the financial levers behind one of Amazon's fastest growing businesses.
The Iron Mountain platform is the singular system managing all advertiser-facing financial functions - billing, invoicing, accounting automation, budgets, promotions, payments, and Billing Advertiser Experience (AX) - in real-time while being transparent and auditable from the ground up. These systems serve Sponsored Ads worldwide across all advertising displayed on or off Amazon

With international expansion driving 10X traffic growth, you'll solve critical distributed systems challenges: building architecture that scales exponentially, maintains high availability with minimal downtime (where outages directly impact revenue and advertiser business), and guarantees millisecond response times for front-end advertiser experiences. Our team spans Bangalore, Seattle, and New York - truly global in spirit.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and build global, scalable, secure back-end applications for billing, budgeting, payments, and promotions at massive transaction volume
- Build customer-facing front-end applications that enable frictionless billing, budgeting, and payments for advertisers
- Architect high-availability, distributed systems with millisecond SLAs - ensuring zero revenue loss and uninterrupted advertiser experiences
- Seamlessly integrate with downstream ad serving platforms, billing and budgeting systems across the broad variety of advertising programs with no loss in information
- Design for 10X traffic growth - building easily scalable architecture that supports international expansion and new business needs
- Own what you and your team create end to end - from feature design with customers, designers, and product managers through implementation, performance, and operational excellence
- Identify and mitigate design risks early to increase speed of implementation; be judicious with dependencies and efficient with resource usage.

Amazon.com, Inc., commonly known as Amazon, is an American multinational technology company. It was founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 and initially started as an online marketplace for books.
