An industry-leading precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Senior TIG Welder & Fabricator to join our team. This role requires exceptional skill in welding and fitting complex assemblies using exotic and high-performance alloys, including aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and 4130 steel.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in precision aerospace fabrication, blueprint reading, tight-tolerance work, and custom fixture design.
Key Responsibilities
  • Precision Assembly: Fit and weld complex assemblies, including high-tolerance machined components, custom tubing, and specialized fittings.
  • Fixture Design: Design and build complex, high-precision welding fixtures to support unique production runs.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret technical shop drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, and production orders.
  • Compliance & Quality: Actively participate in welding compliance programs, including Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) and welder continuity logging.
  • Operations & Improvement: Requisition necessary shop supplies and actively identify opportunities for process and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on TIG welding and custom fabrication experience (specifically with aluminum and stainless steel).
  • Technical Standards: Strong working knowledge and comprehension of AWS welding codes (AWS D17.1, D1.6, D1.2, D1.1).
  • Precision Measuring: Proven ability to hold tight tolerances using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
  • Certifications & Environment (Preferred):
    • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential is a strong plus.
    • Prior experience working within NADCAP, ISO9001, or AS9100 certified manufacturing environments.
