Job description

ComResource is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager.

We need a person with a strong technical foundation who can provide both project leadership and thought leadership. This individual should be capable of challenging technical designs, influencing solution decisions, supporting testing and cutover planning, driving change management activities, and proactively managing business and technical risk. The ideal candidate will operate as a strategic partner to the project team rather than simply a project coordinator.

The ideal candidate would have strong project management skills combined with hands-on IT domain knowledge. Experience leading technology projects is important, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, ERP systems, and security. Agile project delivery experience is required; while some initiatives may use a hybrid Agile/Waterfall approach based on business needs, we are actively moving toward Agile-first delivery models and seek candidates who are comfortable leading that transition.

The individual should be comfortable working with both technical teams and business stakeholders, driving projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.

Essentials:

  • Proven IT project management experience
  • Strong understanding of technology solutions and system implementations
  • Experience providing technical leadership, risk assessment, and mitigation planning
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, planning, and risk management skills
  • Experience with Jira and Planview desired
