Job description

Job Summary:
Marathon TS is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud System Operator to join their team. The role requires candidates to have extensive experience in IT systems administration and proficiency in managing workloads on AWS systems, specifically in a SCIF environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
• Provide system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS.
• Support development and test teams in AWS and manage traditional RHEL servers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• At least ten (8-10) years of overall experience in one or more of the functional areas listed below.
• A bachelor's degree in related field required.
• A master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 8-10 years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
• Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration related to ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS.
• Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS and along with an applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers.
• A senior level AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator should have at least three (3) of the following Trainings or Certifications below and at least two (2) years applied experience with Container Orchestration and/or application deployment.
• Four (4) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification.

• RHCE certification

• AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational)
• AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate)
• Operating a Production Kubernetes Cluster
• Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)
