Job description

Ideal Pase, the liquid-filling business unit of Massman Companies, is growing across our operations in Eagan, Minnesota and Madison, Wisconsin.is seeking a leader for our production teams.

The Production Supervisor oversees daily shop floor operations within the custom automated machinery fabrication and assembly departments. This role coordinates the transition of highly engineered, low-volume/high-mix builds from raw materials to fully integrated automation systems. This position is ideally suited for either an experienced, time-served manufacturing supervisor or a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer looking to step into their first formal leadership role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Custom Build Execution: Coordinate daily workflows for custom, low-volume machinery, ensuring complex fabrication and precise mechanical/electrical assembly align with project timelines.
  • Operational ERP Tracking: Manage shop floor scheduling, material requests, labor hours, and production tracking directly within the NetSuite ERP system to maintain accurate project costing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify workflow bottlenecks, eliminate waste, and optimize floor layouts for changing custom machine configurations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of technicians, precision assemblers, and AWS-certified welders, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight: Audit assemblies against complex blueprints, P&ID diagrams, and engineering schematics to ensure exact tolerances prior to internal testing.
  • Safety Compliance: Champion and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA standards to maintain a secure, organized, and accident-free manufacturing environment.
