Team CAVE within the Digital Claims Platform is hiring a Software Engineer to support and enhance customer-facing applications used during the claims process. In this role, you'll collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver product-led improvements, owning features end-to-end from frontend to backend and helping ensure reliable application performance in production.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing, fast-paced team supporting a variety of technologies on AWS Native and ROSA. The work focuses on delivering modern digital experiences that help customers navigate the claims journey with clarity and confidence. 

Some Responsibilities May Include:

  • Applies skills, tools, security processes, applications, environments and programming language(s) to complete assignments
  • Applies engineering practices to design and build applications using industry-adopted languages and frameworks
  • Diagnoses and resolves problems/issues across the stack
  • Maintains understanding of software engineering topics including components, services, routing, state management, version control, CI/CD, and unit testing
  • Maintains understanding in programming (e.g. Java, TypeScript) and database functionality (e.g. SQL)
  • Maintains understanding in compute environments including Linux, Public Cloud, and containers
  • Applies understanding regarding technology trends/changes, best practices, and processes to complete assignments and influence the direction of product solutions
  • Applies understanding of product design, data design and movement, and testing to ensure quality outcomes
  • Leverages understanding of the organizational structure to navigate cross-team collaboration
  • May take on several simultaneous work stories or focus on a single complex story
  • Understands, supports, and helps define the vision and direction for the product development
