Job description

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an AWS Engineer with a TS/SCI security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, VA. This position offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days telework).

Kadiak, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Intermediate Developer to join our team supporting mission-critical operations for our government customer. 

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation tools, and infrastructure as code, with a passion for problem-solving and delivering efficient solutions to support existing IT application software on Unclassified, Secret and Top Secret enclaves. 

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation code responsible for integration and delivery processes
  • Knowledge of IT architectures, processes, and best practices
  • Work with system architects and developers to maintain and improve the automated solutions (e.g. Lambdas, Step Functions, internal applications)
  • Focus on creating and maintaining automation scripts for repeatable tasks
  • Research and implement new tools/libraries to solve problems.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • 3+ years experience with Python or Typescript/Javascript
  • Experience integrating multiple 3rd party libraries together
  • Experience being in a continuous integration and continuous deployment process
  • Understanding of security vulnerabilities/compliance
  • Understanding of basic web application architecture

Additional Requirements:

  • 2+ years related experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with AWS (e.g., CloudFormation, Lambda, Step Functions, SDK/boto3)
  • Experience in continuous integration technology (e.g. GitLab, GitHub, Azure Devops)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • Ability to work on-site in Vienna, VA (3 days per week)
  • Experience with AWS cloud environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong documentation and communication abilities

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
