Description
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize infrastructure and software delivery solutions for our clients. As a senior consultant, you will lead technical initiatives, build and improve CI/CD and cloud automation practices, solve complex infrastructure and deployment challenges, and provide technical guidance to client and project teams. You will work across development, operations, and security teams to deliver scalable,
reliable, and secure solutions while mentoring engineers and helping clients adopt DevOps technologies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical role, with demonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced experience designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, including cloud architecture, infrastructure management, monitoring, performance optimization, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation technologies such as Powershell, Python, Bash, and Ansible, along with experience using containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including infrastructure security, software delivery security, system reliability, monitoring, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues, evaluate new technologies, and develop scalable solutions that align technical decisions with client and business requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and client environments quickly, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing project and business needs.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership, including identifying work that needs to be done, defining actionable work items, recommending improvements, and driving solutions forward without waiting for assignment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts, provide technical guidance, and operate effectively in a client-facing consulting environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, including configuration management, provisioning, deployment, and operational automation.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory and JFrog Xray/Advanced Security for artifact management, vulnerability scanning, software supply chain security, and DevSecOps workflows; experience supporting migrations from Nexus to Artifactory is a plus.
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket Pipelines; experience with Bamboo and transitioning on-premises pipelines to Bitbucket Pipelines is a plus.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, including PowerShell, WSL, APIs, and related infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise DevOps, CI/CD, and software delivery tooling, including Bamboo, SonarQube, Nexus, and Splunk.
  • Experience with VMware environments and privileged access/security technologies such as Delinea/Thycotic.
  • Experience working in Agile/Sprint-based delivery environments and with the Atlassian ecosystem, particularly Jira and Confluence; exposure to Rovo or Rovo Dev is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise technology vendors and vendor support organizations, including effectively escalating issues, challenging proposed resolutions when appropriate, and driving technical issues through resolution

Moser Consulting has 2 local Indianapolis, IN offices. You will be able to a hybrid/onsite work schedule between the local offices, but may need to go into a client site when needed.
