Job Summary:
AVR, a McNamara Company, is looking for a skilled Ready-Mix Driver to join our team. This position is part of a union.
Position Description
Position Description:
  • Complete a pre-trip assessment on the truck including filling the truck's water tank.
  • Ability to communicate effectively when working with and getting directions from Dispatch.
  • Climb the truck ladder 15-20 times a day.
  • Enjoy a predictable work schedule with a variety of deliveries in one day.
  • Unload the ready mix according to the customer's instructions.
  • Learn the art of adding fibers or admixtures to the load.
  • Complete end of day checklist including washing down your truck, completing a post trip vehicle inspection, and going home knowing you made a difference.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements
Requirements:
  • Have a valid CDL-A driver's license
  • At least 1 year truck driving experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Have a good knowledge of the North metropolitan area
  • Ability to shift direction on short notice with change in route or delivery instructions
  • Deliver a high level of customer service
  • Knowledge of operating equipment on a construction site and/or road construction site
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday and most Saturdays during our busy season

Additional Information:
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladder 15-20+ times per day
  • Ability to push/pull concrete with a hand scraper numerous times per day
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
