Position Overview

The Client Advocate is a proactive and detail-oriented front-line support associate providing essential support to a pool of financial advisors and tax preparers. You will be responsible for assisting with client-facing issues, preparing materials for client meetings, and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day tasks. This role is pivotal in enhancing the client experience by resolving complex financial matters and helping to deliver superior client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advisor support: Assist financial advisors and tax professionals by preparing reports, presentations, and other materials for client meetings. Ensure that all relevant documentation is ready and accurate.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as a key contact for clients, helping to resolve their inquiries and ensuring a high level of service, especially when dealing with complex financial products or service issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as a problem-solver, working closely with business partners to address and resolve client concerns related to financial services, account maintenance, and other matters.
  • Task Management: Stay up to date on firm procedures, making sure key tasks are scheduled, tracked, and followed up on, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Planning Support: Aid in the preparation of financial plans, tax documents and other related items as needed by gathering data, preparing materials, and ensuring all information is accurate and up to date for client sessions.
  • Compliance and Procedures: Ensure that all actions align with internal policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle day-to-day operational tasks such as scheduling meetings, answering client calls, and maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude to facilitate daily work and ability to learn required software applications quickly.
  • Series 65 certification is a plus.
