As an Avionics Lead within ourAugusta, GABusiness Aviation MRO, you will lead a team responsible for inspections and troubleshooting across 25+ models of corporate aircraft. This includes instrumentation, navigation, sensors, radios, antennas, flight controls, pitot systems, and lighting. You will set the standard in quality by ensuring all installations meet industry standards and adhere to various regulations and diagrams provided by manufacturers and engineering teams.
What You'll Do:
  • Plan and execute avionics system inspections and troubleshooting, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Lead and supervise a team of Avionics Technicians heavy maintenance phase inspections of avionics systems.
  • Delegate tasks, sets short- and long-term goals, and monitor performance to optimize team efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, and other departments to resolve system issues and meet project deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards, maintaining documentation and master drawing packages.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians; assist with complex troubleshooting and system integration issues as needed.
  • Oversee inspections, testing, and repairs of avionics systems, including radio, radar, navigation, and entertainment systems.
  • Manage department workloads, schedules operations, and maximizes resource utilization within budget.
  • Communicate work status to customers, managers, and team members through meetings, reports, and status updates.
  • Promote a positive work environment, mentoring and training team members for continuous improvement.

Position Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of Avionics inspection and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience managing projects involving avionics maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting and technical expertise of avionics systems across navigation, communication, surveillance, and cabin connectivity.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Characteristics:
  • 10+ years of Avionics Service experience
  • FCC license(s) and FAA A&P license
  • Experience working on Dassault Falcon, Challenger, Hawker, Embraer and/or Gulfstream aircraft.
  • Experience servicing avionics systems such as Starlink, GoGo, SmartSky, Collins, and/or Honeywell.
  • Experience managing projects involving avionics heavy maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams.
