Job description

Avionics Obsolescence Engineer

As an Avionics Obsolescence Engineer, you will design and integrate missile systems, manage the acquisition Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process in support of complex control systems, transform Mission Systems requirements, and work with OEMs to upgrade platforms and improve warfighter performance. You will augment designs and algorithms to enhance system performance and contribute to advanced technology development.

Qualifications
  • Experience in avionics or obsolescence
  • Knowledge of avionics systems and systems integration challenges
  • Ability to work with a team of engineers to modify designs and improve system integrations to enhance warfighter capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field
  • Secret clearance (required)
Nice to Have
  • Experience with modern Navy avionics systems
  • Experience with the SETR acquisition process
  • Knowledge of contracting mechanisms and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reporting
  • Knowledge of system targeting algorithms and test techniques
  • Ability to analyze avionics designs and provide technical inputs to improve performance and integration ease
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering or Science field
  • Top Secret clearance
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Compensation

The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 annualized USD, based on location, education, skills, and experience.
