Responsibilities
As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer within the Next Generation Avionics (NGA) group, you will play a critical role in the design, development, integration and implementation of cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform. In this role, you will work alongside a diverse team of engineers, developers and designers to create and implement forward-thinking Avionics solutions for advanced aircraft sensors, monitoring and synoptics systems.
As a flagship product, the Honeywell Anthem Flight Deck System is not just another avionics product; it is a visionary endeavor that employs cutting-edge technologies to redefine how pilots interact with flight information and aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the design, development, systems integration and verification of advanced avionics systems, including hardware, software, and network components
  • Development, systems integration and verification of core Aircraft State Avionics and/or Aircraft Systems sensing, monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Anthem Next Generation Avionics Platform.
  • Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards
  • Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, system architecture development, integration testing, and validation of avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and ensure seamless integration of Avionics software solutions that meet system requirements and performance specifications.
  • Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements in the Avionics space.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 6+ years of experience in systems engineering and project leadership, including system design, architecture, integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using engineering tools and technologies relevant to systems development.

  • Experience with model-based system design
  • Experience with Simulink is of value
  • Experience with working with sensors used for aircraft position, navigation (air data, AHRS, GPS)
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging technologies with proven ability to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC)
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (DO-178C preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
