Job Summary

As a PCB librarian, you will fill the vault with co-workers requested parts that enable avionics hardware from concept through orbit operations. You will help organize, standardize, manage, and maintain our extensive library of PCB piece parts for both our flight and non-flight hardware. The position will require working with multiple engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to identify, develop, approve new piece part. The role also involves drafting new PCBA layouts from engineering schematics. Your accurate and timely library and Altium management will enable, never-before-built, high-performance, high-reliability and high value spacecraft electronics on demanding timelines in support of national security space.

This position's internal job is Engr Technical Specialist . Our team is currently hiring for a Level 2 & Level 3.

Position Responsibilities
  • If it moves, directs, stores, or throttles electrons in a box of avionics you own it
  • Create piece part schematic symbols and piece part layout footprints as requested by the engineering team
  • Import and maintain piece parts in both Altium and Teamcenter
  • The Altium vault is your domain and all columns of associated data to ensure:
  • Part availability, suitability (voltage, current, temperature, radiation tolerance, operating conditions, lifetime and derating
  • Maintain our Altium application including user management, process workflows, and third-party integrations
  • Develop workflows for all PCB and PCBA related activities
  • Coordinate with mission assurance, radiation, and other teams as required to get piece parts approved and assure their source of supply, (GIDEP)
  • Perform PCBA layouts in Altium or other tools from PCBA schematics
  • Support piece part testing
  • Additional job duties as required
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Design or similar experience with focus on electrical hardware development using PCB / PCBA schematic capture tools
  • Experience with Excel, MS Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required.
