Job description

The Software Assurance and Tester provides support to USCG C5ISR aviation equipment with test and evaluation of software systems associated with aviation assets and documents software updates at Elizabeth City, NC.


  • Mitigate security vulnerabilities on software defined systems. 
  • Assist in performing or testing system administration functions.
  • Review and analyze software database audit report and updates.
  • Software regression testing and technical services.
  • Performs technical information assurance reviews.
  • Writes government technical instructions for all aviation assets. 
  • Provides customer service, including troubleshooting, associated with mission specific software defined systems on government aircraft.

Required:

  • Eight (8) years' experience with USCG/DoD aviation software configuration management.
  • Six (6) years' experience in software defined equipment.
  • Four (4) years' experience supporting C5ISR systems.
  • comprehensive understanding of computer networks/IT systems engineering, software engineering, and computer network security principles.

Preferred:

  • Should have knowledge of USCG aviation engineering, maintenance, logistics, and configuration managemnet practices. 
  • Should have experience with the configuration, loading and maintenance of aviation communications systems (Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM), Line of Sight (LOS), Military Tatical Data Link (LINK) 16, High Frequency (HF)/Very High Frequency (VHF)/Ultra High Frequency (UHF)).
