MATERIAL HANDLER
Reports to the Supply Chain Manager
Location: Okmulgee, OK (20 minutes from South Tulsa straight down Highway 75 S)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, control, movement, distribution, and shipment of aircraft parts, components, tooling, consumables, and related materials. This position supports Maintenance, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Production by ensuring materials are properly identified, documented, stored, and available when required.
The Material Handler is accountable for inventory accuracy, material traceability, stockroom organization, and timely material flow while complying with company Quality, Safety, and applicable aviation requirements. Exceptional attention to detail is a must for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Receive, verify, process, store, and distribute aircraft parts, components, tooling, consumables, and related materials while maintaining proper documentation and traceability.
โ€ข Pull, pick, stage, issue, and deliver materials to support scheduled, unscheduled, and AOG maintenance requirements.
โ€ข Perform shipping and receiving activities, including verification of part/serial numbers, quantities, documentation, condition, packaging, and outbound shipment preparation.
โ€ข Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations; complete material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and shipping transactions in a timely manner.
โ€ข Perform cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits; research and report discrepancies and assist with corrective actions.
โ€ข Maintain proper identification and segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, quarantine, customer-owned, consignment, core, shelf-life, hazardous, and other controlled materials.
โ€ข Process material returns, vendor/repair shipments, cores, and customer-owned materials while maintaining required documentation and control.
โ€ข Maintain clean, safe, organized, and properly identified stockroom, shipping, receiving, and staging areas in accordance with safety standards.
โ€ข Coordinate with Maintenance, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Vendors, and AOG/MRT teams to resolve material requirements, shortages, and discrepancies.
โ€ข Follow company Quality and Safety procedures and applicable FAA, OSHA, HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods, shelf-life, and material-handling requirements while supporting audits and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข High school diploma or GED required.
โ€ข 1-3 years of experience in materials, inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or parts operations preferred. Aviation background is a plus.
โ€ข Previous cycle-count and inventory-control experience preferred.
โ€ข Exceptional attention to detail is required, with the ability to consistently identify and prevent errors involving part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, inventory locations, and documentation.
โ€ข Ability to accurately read and verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, labels, and material documentation.
โ€ข Basic computer skills including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Spreadsheets, and Inventory Systems.
โ€ข Strong organizational skills and commitment to inventory accuracy.
โ€ข Ability to prioritize multiple requirements in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
โ€ข Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills.
โ€ข Forklift/material-handling equipment experience preferred.
โ€ข HAZMAT/Dangerous Goods experience preferred.
โ€ข Basic knowledge of aircraft material traceability and FAA Part 145 Repair Station operations preferred.
โ€ข Ability to meet established physical requirements for lifting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling.
โ€ข Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or alternate shifts as operationally required.
