The Opportunity

Aviation Architect / Project Manager - Dallas, Houston or San Antonio TX

We are seeking a talented Aviation Architect / Project Manager to join our Dallas, Texas office and support RS&H's growing national aviation portfolio. In this role, you'll help lead the design and delivery of impactful aviation and transportation projects while collaborating with planners, engineers, environmental specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, future-focused airport environments.

As an Aviation Architect / Project Manager, you'll contribute to projects of varying sizes and complexities while helping guide teams and support successful project delivery from concept through construction. You'll play an important role in balancing technical design, project management, client collaboration, and team coordination to help deliver projects that align with client goals, schedules, and budgets.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational side of architecture and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop thoughtful, integrated design solutions while mentoring junior staff and helping drive quality, innovation, and collaboration across projects.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Lead and contribute to the design and delivery of aviation and transportation-related projects
  • Collaborate with airport clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative architectural solutions
  • Help manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and team coordination efforts
  • Prepare and review drawings, technical documentation, and construction specifications
  • Support project pursuits, presentations, and client engagement activities
  • Mentor junior architects and technical staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Conduct quality reviews, field observations, and construction coordination activities
  • Collaborate with planners, engineers, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Help ensure projects meet client expectations, quality standards, schedules, and budget goals

 

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a collaborative architect and project leader who brings strong technical expertise, communication skills, and a passion for complex project delivery within aviation and transportation environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant architectural design experience
  • Registered Architect in good standing
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams
  • Strong architectural design and construction document development capabilities
  • Demonstrated Revit BIM production and coordination experience
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support client engagements, project activities, site visits, industry events, and professional development opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university
  • Previous project management experience
  • NCARB certification
  • Aviation, transportation, or large-scale commercial project experience
  • LEED Accredited Professional designation
  • Visualization and graphic capabilities including Photoshop or similar tools
  • Design-build project experience
