Job description

Job title:

Maintenance Mechanic

(1st and 2nd shift openings) 

 Pay: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour ( Lots of overtime available) 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a manufacturing maintenance team supporting automated equipment and industrial machinery. This position is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Breakdown of the Role: 

•50% of your time will be dedicated to preventative maintenance

•30% to troubleshooting and repairs

•20% to project-based work focused on improving equipment reliability and performance

Responsibilities:

•Perform preventative maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment

•Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

•Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled equipment

•Troubleshoot 480V electrical systems and 3-phase motors

•Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics

•Maintain and repair conveyors, facility equipment, and production machinery

•Support equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects

•Conduct light facility maintenance as needed

•Document maintenance activities and completed repairs

•Work independently to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks

•1st Shift - Monday - Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Friday: 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM

•2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday: 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hugo, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $37.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
