Job Description Summary
Student Equipment and Laundry Assistants will assist the Equipment Manager with laundry services and daily monitoring of equipment room activity. Candidates will gain knowledge of the daily operation of a college athletic program by working with coaches, administrators, and student-athletes.
Specific Duties
  • Work in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Multi-task and get assignments done in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with people from all levels of the athletic department
  • Be courteous to student-athletes and their needs
  • Be respectful of the equipment of each sport and athlete
  • Wash and dry uniforms, practice clothes, and towels
  • Assist the Equipment Manager with equipment needs
  • Familiarity with laundry equipment is a must
  • Monitor window to equipment room
  • Work other athletic events as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to wash and dry uniforms, practice clothes, and towels
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Familiarity with tools and athletic equipment
  • Must be a student at ULV

Preferred Qualifications
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
